Good product for boat trailer accessories

Easy to install NO Wesbar light. this is how the trailer frame headlight was built. The light was accurate as soon as I installed it. Worked as advertised. right for the price.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Perfect replacement

This tail light is a perfect replacement for the broken original light. This is an exact copy and works perfectly. This appears to be the same light that most trailer manufacturers use as original equipment. I was pleasantly shocked at how good a replacement turned out to be.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Wesbar Waterproof Trailer Lights

These lights replaced the boat trailer lights I replaced last year. I did a little research and I liked the design concept behind these trailer lights. You can replace burnt out light bulbs. The lamps are housed within the trailer lens housing in another watertight housing. Excellent and efficient design. The design was well thought out and the installation matched my trailer design with no modifications and the necessary mounting bolts were supplied.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Update Available

Customer Service Required to maintain warranty

The product description says the product is under warranty but I can't find a place to find out so I wrote this review. it wasn't waterproof, it was leaking, the bulb was broken and the bulb is rusted and stuck in the socket so I can't replace it. If the support team can answer this and provide a replacement I would be happy to change the rating. One point, the other flashlight I bought works with no problems.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Negative experience

It's not waterproof!

I bought these as a spare as they came with a tag. The original headlights were completely sealed, but when the bulb burned out it couldn't be replaced. You can change the lightbulb, but there's a catch. They leak even if you try to seal them with marine sealant. The bulbs will burst first, but they can be replaced. Eventually the rust will be so severe that you'll lose a good connection and you're done. You'll be lucky if you get them for a year or two with limited seasonal use. They should…

very easy to mount on my boat trailer

product came as expected, fast shipping. The kit contains all the necessary parts that are very easy to install on my boat trailer. These devices have replaced those that were rated "submersible" which I believe means depending on the wattage the bulb will blow out every time you start your boat. Tired of dismantling old lightbulbs and putting in new ones. They're waterproof, built great, very affordable, and work exactly as advertised. Two caveats: First, be aware of the part number when…

Not all light sources are the same!

I've been waiting a month and a half to write this, just make sure it's really submersible. That's it. After several other replacements over the past 6 months, this is the ONLY flashlight that has the correct o-ring that creates a watertight seal and I took them all apart as I couldn't see where the water had gotten in. I even used 5200 on one to keep salt water out of the bulb area which worked but you didn't have to. I'm a fishing guide in the Florida Keys, so my trailer fell on the salt…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Compatibility

What I don't like about this light is the mounting hardware 2 .

Matches my reason for buying this trailer. What I hate about this flashlight is that the mounting hardware is 2 carriage bolts that fit into a square plastic slot molded into the housing on the back of the flashlight. You can't tighten it, but you can tighten it until the plastic slots wear out or round and the tension nut just goes round and round. The grounding connection also depends on the planting density. Also, it's not stainless steel, so the nut and bolt will corrode after a few dives…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Only available in black

So far so good*: Trailer Lights

I got tired of replacing Optronics trailer lights that I used every year or two when they died so I'm going to try these. I dismantled the lamp compartment before installing it on my trailer. It's better sealed than Optronics flashlights with an O-ring and better screw holes and screws. Just in case I applied a little Corrosion X HD to any exposed metal in the lamp compartment before assembly. I made two modifications that I would recommend to anyone installing this or any other trailer light…
