Wesbar 787264 Trailer Connector Wire Review

I haven't installed this product in a very long time but I know it definitely looks good. Over the years I've replaced too many trailer light plugs that have failed because they broke at the plug. Was looking for something more substantial and came across this product. It comes with lots of hookup wires and looks like it will work much better than typical Hopkins or Curt products.

Used a range of cheap flat cable connectors. Ozone and sunlight always cause cracks in wires. These are not flat wires but the connector is molded with a round wire going into the connector. It seems to be the way. Solder it to the trailer wiring harness, using plenty of heat shrink tubing and good quality electrical tape. Solder all the connections, when in doubt, use new trailer wiring and it will last you for years.

This is the best 4 flat trailer cable I have ever found. The cover is built to withstand heavy use and plugs into 4 spade connectors in such a way that I can't imagine them falling apart. Installed 1.5 years ago, so far everything is fine. The previously purchased braided cables did not last long before the voltage block on the back of the 4 flat compartments put a strain on the individual wires and finally led to failure. Great product - will buy again - that is if I ever need one.

I couldn't imagine a better 4-pin connector for my trailer. My popup had a nightmare with cables and a damaged connector. After dealing with all of this, I installed this baby. The back cable is very nice and thick and the whole device feels very solid. I used a combination of solder connectors to join the wires together and then used shrink wrap to change from the black insulation to 4 wires, making sure to cover my solder joints, then put my foot back into the trailer.
