I bought this stand with high expectations but was disappointed. It is well built and has a solid base. However, on a 28-pound MTB bike, the arm sags more than I would like. Also, the locking mechanism is cumbersome and takes a minute to tighten. If you have an extra pair of hands, that might be fine. Otherwise, you'll be holding the bike with one hand and trying to pull up the kickstand with the other. I ended up sending it back and buying another style stand.

Such products may be random but this one hit! By slightly tightening the quick-release levers (tool included), the stand becomes quite stable. I used this stand this weekend to wash the family's bikes including my wife's heavy e-bike. The stand was rock solid once we lifted it by the seatpost. Includes a carry bag, extra rubber leg caps and extra leg bolts in case something goes wrong.

After a long search and renting a bike repair stand, I decided on this model. This stand has the features I need at a very reasonable price. After 2 months of use I am very satisfied. The balance of the stand is excellent, even with a heavier bike (38 pounds). Racks keep the bike secure in any configuration. Gave it 4 solid stars but will be up to 5 stars after more trouble free use. It appears to be well built, time will tell. Very happy with the purchase.

Well made, strong and very easy to fold. I took the sprocket off because of the chrome studs/screws used and the plastic teeth used in the rotary clamp bar. As for the chrome bolts, I washed my bike while it was on this stand and it worked great. However, rust spots appeared on the frame bolts the next day. I cleaned the bolts and smeared bike grease on the bolt head and surrounding areas to see if that helps prevent rust. When turned, these plastic teeth wear out quickly with frequent use…

There is a right way and a wrong way to use this bike stand. (See photo) The bike's clamp arm is designed so that the mounting arm matches the clamp arm on the stand itself.
