Behavior of gloves at high temperatures and working with metal

So far I have used them for work. They do not tolerate oil well as they are very slippery. Another thing is that it absorbs heat very quickly, but also cools down very quickly, which is not very good with heat resistance. But very durable, will not melt or hold together at high temperatures. I had a tear within 6 hours of use and it was on my thumb. The gloves also pinch the index finger when you pull the trigger to start welding. I don't suggest using them for welding as the heat resistance is

Don't be hopeful. You FEEL the BURN of the weld.

Probably great for working with warm or slightly hot materials. Definitely not for continuous TIG welding. I had high hopes for these gloves and thought they would be a game changer in TIG welding. I was very disappointed. At 125 amps on steel, you'll feel the burn after a few inches. If you rev up to around 200A, you can't stand the heat with your hands. (I think I got burned) I went back to my old pigskin/sheepskin gloves and immediately felt better. Great concept but not very good for real…

Not heat resistant.

These gloves are not heat resistant. If you touch something hot long enough (a few seconds) and find that the heat is too much for your hand, once you remove your hand the glove will continue to burn your hand as if you had not removed the heat source . . Most of the time I have to quickly take my hand out of the glove. Keeps you warm for a while. In fact, I was outside in the cold and brought my hands to a heat source (wearing gloves) to deworm my hands and I was able to remove my hands and…

Absolutely not heat resistant!

Here's what I said to another person who commented positively on these gloves, including saying they are very heat resistant: "Heat resistance? Do you mean that seriously? Who is paying you for this review? received (perhaps partly due to your and other positive feedback) mine 5 minutes ago. After putting one on, I took the lighter and held it for a second or two with a flame about 3 inches below the cure of one hand (some of it would be almost exposed to molten metal if I used the torch in…

Suitable for material processing, not for welding.

I am a full time welder and after cutting a pair of TIG welding gloves from a piece of sheet metal I decided to give them a try. Firstly, if you want to buy them, please buy one size larger than what you usually wear. As for using it for welding, I would look elsewhere. They are bulky which makes it very difficult to feed the wire. In addition, the coating gives them excellent grip, which also makes it difficult to feed the wire. Also, unlike leather gloves, the coating keeps you warm, and I…
