Westcott Purpose Value Stainless Scissors Review

I regret the purchase. I wanted them to replace the worn out Office Depot base pair. Unfortunately they are worse than the old pair; too boring to shorten the main themes.

I have been buying Westcott products for many years. These scissors were thin, I cut 3 sheets of plain paper in half and the blades and handles were warped/lined. Very unstable either Westcott lowered their standards or the pair I received are clearly another fake.

These things are SO boring. I buy scissors when they are on sale because as a seamstress I go through a lot. I usually grab a few and use them for small cuts (save my good fabric scissors for that) and trimming threads. Then, when they become blunt, they become paper scissors. They don't cut threads and have trouble cutting through the paper! I do not recommend.

What can I say? This is your standard pair of scissors. They're perfect for opening packages, removing labels etc. They have a nice sharp blade and are quite heavy so I expect them to last a while. These aren't heavy kitchen shears by any means, but then again, they didn't even cost $30 plus :). Great for crafts, although I wouldn't use them as fabric scissors.
