This is a Western Digital external hard drive. What you do NOT like about it. This thing works well, from a reliable company, and the backup software is Acronis, which is also a pleasure. USB 3.0 will definitely speed up my backups.

This external hard drive sold by "TaxFreeDeal" is defective. At least every three days I have to turn it off because my computer can't see the drive. I have two other WD external hard drives and they have been working great for a number of years. Sold to me defective. The 30-day return window has expired, so I'm stuck with a $140 external hard drive that's not working properly. It took me a long time to back up my information to this hard drive and now I'm playing the game while waiting for it…

I bought one of these from Best Buy. This time I chose WD because I had so many rejections from Seagate. However, every few hours it would disconnect and my computer would say "USB device not recognized" and it was unreachable. Tried three different cables and three different USB ports - still disconnected at least every few hours. I found that I had to unplug and plug it back in for it to work, usually for a few more hours. I called WD support and they didn't know anything about their product.
