Westin 27-1945 🏃 Running Board Mounting Kit Review

Purchased for my 2016 Toyota 4Runner SR5. Bolted well to the truck, but the footpegs were 10 inches off the ground. I called Westin and they suggested I order 27-2165 mounts as they were designed for a raised Trail or 4Runners model. They return and 27 Arms -2165 are on their way.

This is a great solution for cleaning the lower body panels on the 4Runner Limited. They allow you to use footpegs that are 5.5 inches wide or wider instead of hiding them under body panels. Ignore the stock photos, they don't look right. The brackets fit the factory seats and are identical to the OEM footpeg brackets except they are longer (to allow them to sit lower). This allowed me to install OEM SR5 footpegs on my Limited with no modifications. It was exactly what I was looking for.
