Quirky, obviously, but cheap and works if you like that kind of thing

Judging from similar reviews, I don't know why setting "1" is the highest speed but the lowest number? If for some technical reason the fan needs to run at full speed with the fan off - fine - at least change the numbering! Also agree with the big logo - might look good in a budget motel, but not in a typical home Back of the switch is ambiguous, and the accompanying written instructions don't help.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I really don't like it, everything is fine

Almost Perfect in the Ceiling Fans & Accessories category

I've been using it for at least a month with no problems. This causes the light to flash quickly. I don't know why as it must be on a separate circuit (perhaps due to a common wire?). Pros: Easy to install and works Makes a 3 setting fan 4 settings. Cons: Why is the highest setting at the bottom? The LED light on the dimmer starts flashing at level 2. Other: I hope you have a deep socket, otherwise it could get very tight.

1 is high and 4 is low?

Good fan switch. I bought this to replace an old switch. With the old switch, I could never remember if the first click was high or low. Has the number slider problem been solved or not? I assumed that one would be a low value and four would be a high value, but it's the other way around. I think it's the other way around. Also annoying: The brand name is written in black letters directly on the visible part of the switch. The view makes it unnecessarily ugly. Aside from these minor issues, it…

The numbers are in the wrong order

I installed them in my previous house and again in the house I just bought. My only complaint is that the numbers are in the wrong order. A setting of 1 is the fastest and a setting of 4 is the slowest. No idea why they did it. I believe previous reviews have commented on this, but they continue to print them that way. The switch is also very thick and takes up a lot of space in the electrical box. I had to work really hard to install the switch and all the nuts for the wires and still attach…

  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I thought it was defective.

After setting the switch and turning on the power, the fan barely turned even though it was set to high and the switch was in position 4, so I figured the switch was somehow broken and blocking the power. Fan. The wiring directions are acceptable, but ultimately didn't help me confirm I didn't mix up the black wires. Luckily the Q&A section here saved me some time by confirming that contrary to intuition the OEM sets 4 as the lowest speed and 1 as the highest speed, switching the wires doesn't…

An absolute must!

If you have ceiling fans with that TERRIBLE chain tensioner system, you NEED this switch! I really don't understand why they still sell draft fans, it's not 1930 anymore. This thing connects just as easily as a regular switch and gives you extra speed! And it is very economical in price. People who complain about order speed don't know what they are talking about and it's not a problem at all. This applies to almost every fan switch ever made - the first is high, the second is medium, the third

  • Not bad

Technically working but rather unsatisfactory

The switch works well but there are a few issues that should make you abandon this switch in favor of something more comfortable: 1) There is noticeable sparking inside the switch when you rotate it between positions. The light switches are bent at times and you can see the flash, but this one is particularly candid. It doesn't happen all the time, but it's very noticeable when it happens. 2) The paddle is difficult to move, resulting in a higher arc when jumping multiple positions at once. It…
