Great radar detector on a budget

So far I'm very happy with this purchase. It appears to spy on police speed traps and is fully customizable for the different departments you're looking for. few false alarms. You can also tweak each area, so you can work unfiltered on areas you don't want to mess around with, but pull out false positives if you do. Loud enough, lots of features and so far I think the performance beats the price. I recommend this detector to those who are hesitant to spend $500-600 on big names. This works…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Some issues

Compared to the Beltronic Pro 100, it has a slightly lower output. I get more false positives with this CR70, but at half the price, that's perfectly acceptable performance. In a comparative test on the same route, the CR70 tends to give more false alarms in the safety systems, distance measurement and vehicle collision avoidance. The device replaced the prematurely deceased Whistler XTR-555 (more sounds). Compared to the XTR-555, the CR70 system appears to have better performance, but I was…

Excellent range detection

I really like this radar detector. It's the best I've ever had. The signal strength is incredible. He activated the alarm over 2 miles away long before I saw the police car approaching. Many settings are available. 37 settings can be adjusted to get the most out of your metal detector. The compass uses N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, and NW arrows. Custom notification is great. It also has a brake light, night mode and overspeed. The only thing I wish the Cr90 had was a display of the current speed. I…

Unbeatable value for money

Edit: Current model display color is GREEN. Blue and red are old. It's direct from Whistler when I contacted her. First of all, I don't review if I don't like a product. Not to mention 5 star reviews. I have used Cobra radars for many years because they are inexpensive and reliable. After my last one died, I did a little radar research and looked at the price/performance ratio. After looking through almost everything on the market I settled on this Whistler. I had it for 2 months or so. I was…

All the features and performance at 1/3 the price

I haven't used a metal detector in YEARS because the 80's and 90's ruined your experience with incessant chirps and false alarms. They usually slowed down my average time instead of helping because they couldn't be trusted. Before a recent 1000 mile trip I decided to try detectors again. This one, which is the cheapest with GPS, gives you a lot of top-notch features for the money. But I have to point out how quiet this unit was in use. . . As he warned, 90% of the time, it was a real event, and

Great detector did I push it to the limit?

I was transferred from NC to Alaska and had to drive one of my two cars to get there, it was brutal but that's the way it worked. My configs: all tapes on KA are set to maxid, tfsr to , no pop. I drove at least 10, 20 at most in NC - nothing, VA - the cops rounded up every one of them in the corners and hills everywhere, I had to install it on the dash because it's illegal, it's a lot harder to see there, and it still worked fine. WV- means nothing Ohio cops didn't see - nothing Indianapolis…

Whistler CR85 Side by Side with my Old Escort 8500 x 50 Black

This is a first review of the Whistler CR85 which I just received yesterday and which I am sitting alongside my old Escort 8500 x 50 Black in Auto and CR85 use. on the highway. On my first drive I met several local LEOs whose Ka was constantly moving, as they almost always do, approaching from the front and back at different times, and one actually parked and fired across the traffic. So far so good, as I expected after reading countless reviews, tech reviews, YouTube videos, etc. The CR85…
