🔧 Whiteside UD4122 Compression Router Bits: Superior Performance and Precision Review

Makes a full cut of 3/4" pine and 1/2" and 3/4" plywood. Up and down. Damn better than 1/4" bits in terms of faster feed and not much more material waste compared to 1/4" bits. I prefer vacuuming to sanding.

I was very pleased with this nozzle. I ran it at around 15,000 rpm and 90-110 inches per minute. High quality birch plywood 0.5" and 0.75" At 0.5" I ran full depth. I use it in my laptop 7539 router 3.25 HP at 19000 rpm. I cut 1/2" and 3/4" hardwood plywood in one pass. I started with a 1/4" Compression twist drill bit, Whiteside UD2102. 2102 cut a lot before it failed (crack in the collet). I wanted to try a larger diameter drill bit to see if I could get a faster feed rate by holding it by hand. This 4122 cuts much easier than the 2102.
