unfazed best in Bumper Stickers, Decals & Magnets

I was really hoping for fresh direction and sonic brilliance on this album. Frustrated, he sounds flat, the drums point down and he sounds muffled. when pressing it was normal, the sound is flat with no depth. Not as I remember this vinyl compared to the original, sorry for the expression, it's faded.

Pros
  • An Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Why on earth is this rated as a classic with only a few classic songs?

Vote for Baba 'O Riley, Won't Get Fooled Again and Behind Blue Eyes get LOTS of airplay but what about the rest of this average album?! It's typical The Who, with some great cuts and lots of fillers. Stick with Quadrophenia and Tommy. Before turning to Prog Metal, Live At Leeds were a great band too.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Negativity abounds

it doesn't sound nearly as good as the recent Pink Floyd remasters or .

I thought my Decca edition of this Greta album was a bit messy and was missing some of the highlights I remember from the original vinyl so I invested in this "refreshed" Version. It lacks the warmth and charm of my Decca print. It has a very subtle sound and you really feel its dips when it scrolls a bit and (finally) it's The Who! So it doesn't sound nearly as good as the recent Pink Floyd or Zeppelin remasters. "Track Record" label with small Geffen logo leading me to believe it was…

The Who at its best

This album is probably the most popular and important record of The Who's career. Recorded at a time when the recording industry was going through some of the most significant changes in history, the album was an example of all bands setting new standards for using the studio to create new music. in a whole new way. Pete Townshend's musical genius came into focus during this period, as did the direction of the band as a whole. The whole recording process has changed, mostly because of the work…

A classic in every sense

This 1971 release sounds very different to 1969's Tommy and shows how much the band has come a long way in just a few short years. There's certainly no shortage of popular songs on this album, and the track listing reads like a greatest hits list. Although it comes from a larger project that has been shelved (Lifehouse), there is a continuity in the collection of songs on Who's Next that is a personal favourite. The album was recorded in its infancy (the process is detailed in the liner notes).

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • A little grubby
