I DID NOT EXPECT MIRACLES BUT I EXPECTED BETTER

I was very happy when this headset was delivered but my joy quickly evaporated 2 days after mine Purchase. The headphones in this headset are huge. I have small ears so the earbuds just sit on the outside of my inner ear, which started to hurt after about 4 or 5 hours of decoding. Another problem I had with this headset is that my Windows 7 PC does not automatically detect the headset, so I have to manually find the headset and download the drivers every day. Finally, I don't think the sound…

Pros
  • This headset is incredibly comfortable and ergonomic with built in volume control
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

Beautiful sound, short lifespan

I haven't tested it because I've used it really wanted to use it for a while because it was my first USB set and I'm also used to headphones that last quite a while, well over a year and I wasn't sure about these. As others have said, the clip breaks, just like mine did 3 months ago. I can live with it. Yes, the controls are a bit stiff, but that really wasn't a problem. However, it's been less than a year since I bought it and today, April 3, 2016, I no longer have the stereo output and it's…

Pros
  • WordHear-O's dynamic audio playback on a premium integrated sound card easily transforms low-volume, low-quality recordings into crystal-clear audio files that can be transcribed immediately
Cons
  • For seniors

Good, but could be great if

The sound quality of these headphones is good. I've noticed that I can finish the transcription a little quicker because I can hear clearly the first time. However, the volume knob is basically useless to me as it's very hard to press. I'm better off using the volume controls on my computer. It's not a big deal to me, but if it affects your purchase, it's worth considering. Also, my biggest complaint is that the headphones aren't adjustable. The ability to customize the headset makes them…

Pros
  • Our USB-equipped under-the-chin transcription headset matches the frequency of the spoken word, so you can transcribe faster and more efficiently
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Great sound, a bit annoying to wear

They sound amazingly clear. There are a few things I don't care about. First off, the built-in volume control is a zip-tie heavy enough to pull the earpiece out of the user's ear. There's a clip to reduce the weight of the headset, but it annoys me that my phones are clipped to my shirt all the time (a very minor annoyance, of course, but it still bothers me). Second, for one reason or another, a hum starts to appear in the audio. I don't know if it's a problem with the headset or my USB ports.

Pros
  • Compatible with your existing transcription software. Supplied with a 10ft USB cable for use with most modern laptops
Cons
  • Not sure
