Nice clean cut of electronic projects.

Everyone who works with various electronic devices, repaired or not, wants to cut wires and leave a clean, flush cut. Never use normal side cutters that have at least one wire tip or sharp edge protruding. Although I have another brand of flush cutters, this particular one feels heavier and can cut through thicker wire. I highly recommend.

Pros
  • Cutting blade length 15/16 inch
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something

The quality of the metal is not as good as the cutters look.

From what just happened to me I would say this is not good for aircraft mechanics. This is the first day. Straight out of the box. Cut a piece of .032 stainless steel safety wire and it will crumble the blades. I am attaching a photo of the damage and more including the type of wire that was cut. Otherwise, their fit and finish appear to be excellent. It's probably just better for cutting plastic zippers.

Pros
  • Induction Hardened Cutting
Cons
  • Something else

This is a cheap tool and should be avoided. As an electrical engineer, I often use side cutters in my work. These tools typically last a year or two before they need to be replaced because the cutting edges become too dull. I figured if I ordered a $22 tool from JH Williams I'd get better quality steel that would last a little longer. Upon opening the packaging of these cutters, it was immediately apparent that these are inferior quality cutters that can usually be found anywhere for $5-6. Inโ€ฆ
