Wow better than expected

I had to quickly snap a photo of some of the chips I was fixing. I used 1 set and was able to fix a few chips on 3 cars with no problem. What I was most worried about turned out to be pretty clear. You honestly couldn't tell where it was when I was done. Each of them lasted only a few minutes. I cut clear plastic sheets into smaller pieces to do more at once. To be honest, it's so simple and easy that it saves a lot of money. We had a windshield repair last time and I think it cost about $150…

Great potential if used properly

Great potential, especially for a $10 fix. When you expect 100% results, replace your windshield and get 100% results. I have about 50% less tear but I can still see it. Tip: Apply resin SLOWLY (didn't use the applicator. My windshield was cracked). Slowly let it feed into the crack, starting at the end of the crack and working towards the starting point. If you rush, you'll trap tiny air pockets under the resin, air that can't be removed, and the crack will become more visible. If you work…

Starburst crack, no more!

Unfortunately a stone smashed into the windscreen of my car two days ago. I ordered RainX Fix a Windshield and received it within two days and had it repaired today. I read the guide several times before trying to fix it. The repair involved pouring resin into a resin chamber attached to a pressure actuator. The charger is attached to a suction cup that attaches to the windshield above the point of impact. My windshield damage looked like a starburst, not big but noticeable. The resin was put…

Hot Weather Windshield Repair

I was living in South Texas when I noticed a small target on my windshield. Temperatures here typically hover around 95°F, and the instructions that accompany all windshield repair kits make no mention of hot weather conditions. So I've spent a lot of time asking this on the Revain forums, people have responded, but overall it was ambiguous. I also called several companies but they didn't help much either. I finally found a handmade video on YouTube made by someone down south. He confirmed to…

This is a good quick fix

In my experience this is a great quick fix. 100% fixes a crack on the windshield but does its job quite well. One of the things I learned about this product is that it doesn't dry out until it sees the sun. So I recommend applying the liquid to the windshield and waiting for it to soak into a crevice in a shaded area like a garage before bringing it out into the sun. When it dries you can use the blade included in the kit to scrape off the residue. I also realized that you might have to tap the

Something to have on hand to save $$$$$ on a replacement

I was a bit skeptical but thought it would cost $11 to try our 1000- Save dollar windshield. The kit arrived the next day with very detailed instructions to avoid common mistakes. The repair kit has enough consumables to do multiple repairs, so I used it at the same time to fix microchip problems. The repair was not just a chip, but also cracks in three directions. I was expecting it to take a few patches to get everything, but one app did the job. I would add a photo afterwards, but there is…

I wasted $1,000 on a windshield replacement!

I'm so happy and tick at the same time. I used the product as directed and watched a few YouTube videos and when I finished scraping off the leftovers I couldn't find the star flare. He's completely gone. It was originally a little less than a quarter, so quite large, with three spider legs ripped off by the impact. Now all I can find (and I had to get Windex to wash every stain) is a pin-sized stain that won't come off, so I have to assume that's where the tear was. It annoyed me so much that…

A reliable alternative to insurance claims

As a home repair kit, this makes a very good use. The results are good - not as good as the Safelite as one might expect, but still pretty darn good considering the price. The only real beef I have is what suckers suck. Uh, more specifically, they don't suck. If you know what I mean. But once you get past that, it's easy to use, the instructions are clear, and the materials are enough to make a few repairs. insurance notice. For years I did what my insurance company (Erie) told me to do. When I
