Expensive but 100% Worth it

Ever had a shower curtain rod that detached from the wall and a towel rail that was pulled out by a child who was pulling up? Look no further it will keep you safe again. The shower curtain rod breaks before it comes out of the wall or the entire wall. Amazing, amazing, only flaws. The price (but not bad considering how long the repair/repair will take in the long run) and the size of the hole drilled in the wall is huge, I mean 1 1/8 inches (you might be wrong to write this review 3 monthsโ€ฆ

Strong anchor and relatively easy installation

I was skeptical about these things, they look so big. I needed to buy a 3/4 inch hole saw and it was sold out. Very easy to assemble, drill a hole, fold over the levers and hold, gently, I mean push gently. Pull out the rod and screw it in. You'll feel like it's not doing anything, and then suddenly it'll grab and hold and puff. Be prepared for this as you want it to be a tight fit but not where it bangs through the wall plate. It stays flush and tight. Much, much better than the expandingโ€ฆ

Holds a lot of weight but has flaws

I bought these for a bathroom grab bar as the description said they could hold a lot of weight. When they arrived I found I had to drill a 3/4 inch hole to pierce the anchor. But the anchor was so wide that its flange protruded from under the heated towel rail bracket. I tried cutting off the flange but that loosened the anchor. It actually landed in a 3/4" mounting hole. Instead, I used standard wing anchors with much better results. WingIt is fine for hanging pictures, but not for my project.

At first I was a little confused, they work great

I confess the installation of the first is a little confused. At first the head had a hard time fitting into the 3/4" hole I had drilled. I went through and felt better. I put the screw in and made sure it didn't bind. You really have to just screw it in a minute or two longer because the screw is so long. The second install was easy after I put the first one in. The power is REAL.I've used them to assemble hardcover bookshelves and the shelves held up despite of the heavy weight and the flimsyโ€ฆ

Wingits and Apache 200 Drill

I was in dire need of grab bars in my bathroom. After reviewing all types of wall anchors and studying their weight compatibility, I settled on the Wingit system. It seemed the easiest to use and I was right. I waited a few weeks before writing this review because I wanted to see if it would hold up to everyday use. With my weight of over 400 pounds, my new handrails are as strong and durable as the day I installed them. I am so impressed that I am planning to add another handrail in the nearโ€ฆ

These anchors are a real find!

I provide handyman services. A neighbor hired me to fix the drywall because she said the towel rail had pulled out of the wall and couldn't be reinstalled until the drywall was patched. If I were repairing a wall I would try one of the WingIts anchors I just bought. What I expected to take at least an hour or more of work was fixed in 10 minutes. I used one of the large holes in the ripped off anchors to insert the WingIt and attach the mounting plate. I used a spirit level to make sure theโ€ฆ
