Illustrator's Dream Ink

I can't get enough of this ink! They are amazing. Beautiful pigment, easy to bend and fun to work with. The colors are very faithful to their patterns and any ink artist will love them. Most of the complaints relate to the lack of opacity, which is required for calligraphic purposes that these ink sets are not intended for. Drawing inks are more transparent to allow for layering and blending. So keep that in mind when ordering. This company makes some of the best artist supplies at anโ€ฆ

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Prize

Eh Not what I needed.

I really liked this ink set. Some of them can be diluted with water. Some can't. Some of them are a mixture of different pigments, so the main pigment is colored and the ink separates when diluted with water. Colors that weren't a problem: scarlet, purple, yellow, black, and orange. Brown, orange (on watercolor paper). Violet Color: Blue. Blue ink separates into blue and purple when it comes into contact with water or when the paper is held for too long. I wanted to be able to dilute them withโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Useless functions

Nice but works VERY poorly, like real ink

(I ordered a set from the William collection for reference) The colors are nice but this ink is NOT permanent. I let them dry for many hours and they were still smeared and bleeding in the ugliest way. The only one that doesn't are black mascaras. In addition, the cinnabar bottle was not sealed properly before shipment, and a large amount of ink was spilled all over the package. Some of the boxes were covered in dried ink and had to be thrown away which is a shame as they were very nice boxesโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Compatibility

Failed to load media. I bought the Henry Collection Set and love the vibrancy of the colors. I bought them for pen and ink drawings and modern calligraphy. I was hoping to use them for line art sooner than watercolor, but as you can see in the video they all bleed (except the black one). The brown doesn't run too much, so it can work if you're careful not to brush too hard on it. What I really liked is that you can blend them to create new colors, you can also blend them on application (likeโ€ฆ
