Ok but not if you have Shimano 11T gears

I drove mine about 2000 miles before finally taking it off. When using a KMC chain (originally there was no quick release) and Shimano 6800 and r8000 cassettes, the power was always skipped to the 11 tooth gear back then. Neither I nor any mechanic could fix it. This happened with two different switches (6800 and r8000). This only happened when pedaling in gear 11T. It only started when I installed the Wipperman quicklink. So I went back to the Ultegra CN-HG701 chain and it definitelyโ€ฆ

So far so good. At the time of this review, this is the only 11-speed replacement linkage I'm aware of. Shimano and SRAM do not recommend reusing your link, instead replacing it every time you remove and reinstall the chain. Edit: 2500 miles of clean driving (no rain, no mud) and no issues. A famous cycling podcast reported that they broke one in a mountain bike race. Obviously n=1 so who knows what went wrong. But it's possible that dirt and chain loading could be a problem in mountain bikeโ€ฆ

He will miss the Shimano 11t gears!

I love the concept and actual function of this link, but as other people have pointed out, it causes the chain to actually "skip" when you're on the 11 tooth of a Shimano 11 speed -Rear wheel cassette are. . That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. let me explain. I finally found out why he's missing! The "shoulder" of this link's sideplate sits just above the standard quick link. This extra width is needed to accommodate the wavy groove on the side plate of the link to engage the pin. The
