Wix filters cost a few bucks more! These parts are of robust construction, while many others compromise to save on manufacturing costs and risk breaking, allowing dirty oil to circulate in the engine.

The advantage of Experimentals is that you don't have to use expensive flight filters. They have worked just as well on a 180hp 0-360 a1a engine for the past 11 years. in the RV8 of my van.

In my opinion, WIX filters are the best filters on the market! WIX actually makes several aftermarket filters! They're 100x better than those orange f**m filters, which are no better than a toilet paper roll in a can! (In my opinion)

Wix is one of the best and better than Fram in my opinion. The company is American owned and most filters are made in North Carolina. I used this exact filter on a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD. This is not an exact filter for 2.8 liter VM diesel engines, it is larger than 51516 which is the specification for the engine. it fits perfectly but is slightly larger allowing almost 7 liters to be used in the engine. Wix filters are also sold under the Napa brand.

I bought a '97 Ford Ranger because I thought it would be useful. But on the rare occasions I needed it, it cost me insurance money here in Michigan, about $60 a month, plus yearly registration.
