🔍 Superior Performance: WIX 57047 Oil Filter - Optimize Engine Health Review

The Revain installation guide does not show this setup for a 2011 Rav4 2.5, but Wix does list 57047 and 57047xp for this engine and model. ALWAYS refer to the manufacturer's installation instructions.

Works great. Good filter quality. I've heard reports of people who have bought cheap cartridge filters going bad and causing the pump to run out of oil resulting in engine failure. If you change the oil yourself, you will not save on spare parts. WIX is a good brand with a good reputation.

first oil change in a Camry with this filter. There were no surprises and no filter/ring adjustments. I didn't use a drain or small ring because no one did it in a youtube video. I might try that next time in another 10,000 miles (I can get used to that interval).

This wix filter is the same as a toyota OEM product, the only thing toyota offers is a sealed drain plug which I have used wix on for over 15 years. Air, cabin filter and didn't find the best filtration system while staying in good company

Used them first on an old camry and now on a rx350. They've been consistent and seem to be holding up well. They filter what they are supposed to. A great option and replacement for standard filters. Will continue to buy these for all future oil changes.

I bought Wix 57047, Toyota 04152-YZZA1 and Purolator L25608 to compare all 3 filters side by side. All three appear to be decent filters, the materials appear to be identical, and the included drain tool and washers appear identical. The only difference I can tell is that the Toyota filter is slightly larger than the others. My understanding is that a larger filter has more surface area so the Toyota has better filtering capacity, but it's hard to tell just by looking at them.

Looks like a good filter and Revane commented that it fits my 2012 Lexus IS250C. However, when I removed the old filter, I immediately saw that this filter is much shorter. Lexus requires a 3" filter and this is only 2 1/2" long. Yes, it fits the body, but if I were to use it it would leave a couple of holes open in the center sleeve, essentially bypassing the filter entirely. I've seen several reviews stating that the supplied plastic oil drain tool is not long enough and doesn't insert deep enough to drain the oil from the oil filter housing . They always have both o-rings and the filter is in great shape. The box is undamaged and does not even have any signs of being opened.
