🚗 Wix 57341 Cartridge Lube Filter: High-performance Metal Free Solution Review

I'm having trouble finding this filter commercially for my car so I ordered it here for the last few oil changes. It works great and I've never had any problems with it.

I have bought this filter twice before to change the oil in my mother's car and it worked exactly as expected. Comes with filter and o-ring and fits directly. Would recommend if you have a Fiat (or other car that might fit).

For as long as I can remember, WIX has been a reliable and well-made filter. Unfortunately, this is no longer history. Both this filter and the one in my daughter's Mercedes collapsed into an hourglass shape during use and the canister on my wife's Avalon leaked along the seam and dripped oil onto the exhaust. Not only are they bad filters, you also take a risk by using them. Go on, there's nothing to see here (anymore)

Please don't buy these if you respect your car. I love WIX filters but the last one I bought recently for my 1.4 liter turbo was made in China and the quality was very inconsistent. Filters made in China look very questionable and I would never risk using Chinese filters, especially since these particular filters are made entirely of plastic and filter material. Just go for the original and buy Mopar or FRAM as they are made in America.

I bought this filter for my 2014 Dodge Aero with a 1.4 liter turbocharged engine. The filter fits perfectly and is easy to assemble. The filter worked better than expected. I've bought other oil filters that were twice the price and the WIX filter worked just as well, if not better. I have used a filter with Pennzoil 5W-40 synthetic engine oil and have not noticed any deterioration after 9500 miles of mostly highway driving.
