Good workmanship and quality, but wrong design.

Good workmanship and quality but imperfect design. The gear cable does not remain in the guide on the handlebar clamp. Any stretching that occurs regularly and is the reason barrel adjusters are used on most remotes will cause the cable to fall out of the guide and immediately go slack rendering the lever useless until you stop, replace and retighten it. There also had to be a delay in the leader's launch to keep it on the leader.

Do not buy! will break! Much better deals elsewhere!

**EDIT** Wolf Tooth sent me a replacement. However, I just don't trust design anymore. I will probably buy other Wolf Tooth products in the future, but I would avoid this particular one. 1 star. Do not buy! The screw that secures the yoke requires quite a bit of torque to stay in place, but there isn't enough support material in there to withstand the torque required to keep the bar from slipping. I hope they give me a guarantee, but I'm not holding my breath. Look elsewhere for a product with…

Modifications were required.

I bought this to tidy up my controls as I wasn't a fan of the way the butt release lever was placed. In general, the device is of high quality, however, some modifications were required to install it. First, the clamp screw that comes with it is terrible, it's a stainless steel hex head screw, not a standard screw. The hex is very flat causing it to break off before I could get the torque needed to prevent rotation. There were no instructions and since I use carbon rods I set the torque to 4Nm.
