Not good for glue and sealant

I added very little water at first but it didn't flow well enough to fill the crack. When dried, it gains a lot of volume and leaves large holes. As I understand it, there is no "right" amount of water: it's either too thick to fill a crack, or it shrinks too much, leaving holes. Try something different.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • not reliable

Game Changes! for equipment

I mixed the powder with paint and wood glue and applied it to an ugly scratched old chair. I didn't have high expectations as the chair was in such poor condition. However, it worked like a charm! All scratches are filled in, the paint has dried smoothly. Very happy with this product and already planning my next restoration projects. In my opinion, the purchase is definitely worth it.

Works great, but: wooden spatula

This filler works great and I love the ability to control the consistency, it sands well! Used as a bondo to fill in the low areas of a wooden ship model. The tight applique (1/4 inch) was a little torn, but I'm SURE I put it in the sun to dry (evaporate) quickly. I highly recommend applying it on the outside and letting it dry completely on the outside as it stinks very badly (like dog poop) when still wet. However, when it dries, it loses its smell and works quite well. The smell was the only

  • All right!

So, this product has potential, but color ash (slightly reddish-brown) bought dry almost white (see comparison photos). Not only is it somewhat colorless with the label, it's far from it and took me a lot of time/hassle. As I poured in the grain, the walnut countertop began to show greasy red streaks. After some confusion I discovered that this is a concentrated, unmixed (non-homogeneous) red pigment in powder form. Poor quality control again (see photo of wet product). A disappointment to say…

This is definitely a product "suitable " for hard work.

On a custom order I needed a product to fill voids in the interior ceiling of a historic cedar log home that would house bats. shine and could be tinted to match the color of a 105 year old cocktail. This product meets all requirements. Water soluble, can be tinted with any water based paint, stain or stain, gets up and running quickly but stays ready for hours so we were able to prepare large batches of material to speed up the job. We ended up using a total of 18 pounds of this product and it

Indefinite Shelf Life --

Finally, a zero-waste wooden spatula that can be used however you like and stored indefinitely. I used this product according to the directions on the box and was very happy with the results. I mixed it into a slurry with a small amount of color pigment to ensure the colors blended once it dried. When it was completely dry I sanded it lightly, applied a little more stain if needed and applied a clear coat. It is easy to sand and will not crack, shrink or delaminate. As with any filler, a top…

Bought this item based on other reviews. However, my fill pouch smelled strongly of something moldy, rotting, and otherworldly decay. I called the company and spoke to a rep who said the filling should smell like cedar. We agreed that the item was defective. Gave them batch # and they confirmed it was a new bag of filler that was supposed to have their new "cedar scent". They agreed that cedar flavoring may not have been added to this product. I've been trying to return the product for 3 weeks.

Need to redo their color matching marketing

As others have complained, the small pigmented granules that suddenly turn to color (blood red and charcoal grey) are annoying, but I managed to sand them down. Also, you need to find the right color, and the packaging is misleading about the color you actually get. Maple/birch/pine are quite yellow and don't work with white pine; This will turn your wood yellow and you won't be able to sand it quickly. Tint Base/Natural was perfect for the spruce I had, but it's too white; I got it out of the…
