Nice and functional puzzle

I enjoyed putting it together and seeing how it worked. There are some details like the fenders that should have been done last. I recommend that you spend some extra time grinding the gear teeth, pistons and heads as they need to be very smooth to work properly. Mine didn't run as smoothly after a full build, so I'll take my time next time. The guide, which shows diagrams for different techniques (grinding, cutting, breaking), is the only part of the guide that contains words of explanationโ€ฆ

Great project and great time waster.

This truck was a great project for me while we were traveling with our RV. So I could while away the time we were resting. After putting together several different wooden puzzles, as they are called, assembling this truck was easy and enjoyable. It is well designed and carefully laser cut from plywood. Since I built this truck in a high humidity environment and have now arrived at home where the humidity is low, some parts are falling off because they aren't as tight as they used to be. Noโ€ฆ

All in all a fun puzzle to build, I'll check it out again after I get the piece from Wood Trick.

. I worked on this issue with Emily at Wood Trick and it was a fantastic experience. She quickly answered all of my questions and concerns and provided the part I needed along with any additional parts I had to remove to install the new part. I built 8 or 10 3D wooden puzzles and most of them were wooden trick puzzles. This is the first compilation I've put together that has a problem. The date on the box indicates it was boxed on November 20th, 2017, leading me to believe that this kit was one

Disappointing! Too much grinding!

The truck uses friction pins to hold it together. Pens are made from toothpick pieces. That's all good except the included toothpicks are too thick. Each toothpick had to be carefully sanded to fit. You had to be careful not to grind too much or the pegs would be too loose. I have emailed Wood Trick about this but have not received a reply. The kit includes a small piece of 1.5" x 2.5" sandpaper with 220 grit. Toothpicks quickly smoothed it out. I switched to the 150 grit sandpaper I had onโ€ฆ
