Handmade Indian Artisan Mango Wood Yarn Bowl - Kitchen Supplier for Knitting and Crochet - with Needle Holes - Christmas Collection 2021 Review

I hate to think of someone chopping down a mango tree (!) but what a wonderful second life for him! I have long resisted buying a yarn bowl as I was fine without one, but this one was reasonably priced and made by local artisans so I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did: I thoroughly enjoy its beauty and usefulness.

It's SMALL! I bought it as a gift, I don't knit, my mother knits. I still can't think of a ball of yarn small enough to fit inside. I gave it two stars because the edges were rough when panning and maybe I could do more research on the size and avoid the mistake of buying such a small bowl. He's too small to hold anything! I have to find another present now, it will NOT be enough.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter who is a professional knitter. It was more of a cool gift that I stumbled upon as their demand for something like that is too high. However, I expected the working parts that come in contact with the yarn to be as smooth and polished as everything else, like the bowl.
