Bought my first bandsaw and decided to start with a basic bandsaw box. I was able to install the 3/8 blade that the saw came with and cut it in about 3 minutes. I spent over an hour keeping this particular knife on the wheels. I finally made it stay and it cut a thousand times better than the original blade. I've since used a 1/4" Olson blade and a 1/2" Timberwolf blade with no problems. I bought 2 of these and had the same issue with both blades. I couldn't get any of them to go after him.
I make and sell aged resin reinforced hardwood band saw boxes. When sharp, this blade easily slices through 5 inch thick resinous hardwood. I can usually get through 5 cases before it gets boring and stuck. Remember not to over tighten the blade and feed the wood carefully as the blade will break more easily at the weld than a thicker blade with more metal in the weld.
