Description of ๐Ÿชš DCT Woodworking Thin Rip Table Saw Jig Guide Tool for Efficient Woodworking: Precision Cutting Wood & Ripping Chair Slats, Cabinet โ€“ Ideal for Router or Band Saw

EFFORTLESSLY CUT THIN RIPS: The DCT Woodworking Thin Rip Table Saw Jig Guide Tool for Router or Band Saw Cutting Wood / Ripping Chair Slates, Cabinet allows you to cut reproducible thin rip cuts on the alternate side of a saw blade for safety, accuracy, and cut repeatability; This jig maximizes worker safety, streamlines your workflow, and produces successful outcomes. EVEN CUTS: Measurement markings on jig are easy to read so you can make accurate cuts; Ball-bearing roller keeps stock even while fed through the blade creating a smooth flow and applying consistent pressure. SAFETY FIRST: Protects your hands and fingers by preventing unnecessary hand proximity to the sharp blade; Reduces dangerous kickback by keeping the stock completely on the track and preventing it from getting trapped between the fence and the blade; Allows you to work on the free side of the blade thus avoiding unnecessary risk and stock binding. SECURE GRIP: Easy-to-grip knob on the top turns the locking miter bar piece and holds its position firmly to secure guide position; Dual-locking feature ensures the guide point locks jig in an optimal placement in a standard 3/4-inch x 3/8-inch miter slot for a specific job; Roller on the end acts as a stop for the material and allows the wood to flow past the jig without resistance. VARIOUS APPLICATIONS: Rip thin slates for chair backs, frames for cabinets, use with band saws and routers, or even use as a crosscut stop for making multiple cutoffs on the right side of a saw blade; Setup and use instructions are included for your convenience.

Worth the money - basic but durable

I was wondering if it wouldn't be better to spend my $25 on wood and make something like this myself, but after getting it and using it, am I very happy with it. I immediately used it to carve strips of maple inlay, which it did quite well. Yes, I could make my own out of wood or use a jack block, but the measuring lines are very helpful for fine-tuning the size. My only wish would be to be able to fine tune the screw, but it really is a pleasure to use as is. Very durable and we will make itโ€ฆ

Nice and durable like all tools

I've only used it a couple of times - and not for cutting thin strips which it was designed for so take 5 stars with one grit of salt. I give it such a high rating because it is so well made and so cheap. It's very durable and really nice to just hold in your hands and look at. The bearing makes a decent impression and is more than sufficient for the application. One complaint is that it doesn't quite fit the groove on my DeWalt table saw. I had the same problem with other saw accessories, soโ€ฆ

Well made and works great

I bought and returned two other brands because at full extension they were too short to even come close to the "thin bar" of my table saw. I bought this one because it looked longer but was in "standby and watch mode". I have an old Bosch 4000 contractor saw which is my workhorse and is as accurate as can be. The saw has a standard 3/4" corner slot measuring 5" to 3/4" from the side edge of the blade to the front of the blade. Nicely cut into 1/8" strips. The device is also very simple andโ€ฆ

Solid tool, except e.g.

This appears to be a reliable tool with one exception. I have a Bosch 4100 table saw and the jig won't snap into the corner slot. There is a small, very vague hint that the "wing" on the mounting nut (bolt?) has to be perpendicular to the body in order for it to lock. ? The bolt he's pointing to in the picture is what the handle screws onto. When I try to turn this screw, it only turns back and forth 90ยฐ. The wing is not visible and still does not block. I've tried contacting the manufacturerโ€ฆ
