Great product, bolt pattern is metric.

Great product but the recommended hub does not have the exact hole pattern in the brake disc. You will need to drill a new pattern into the hub or drill through the brake disc. Just upside down.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost never

Works perfectly. Great product for the price

Works great. Great product for the price. The only problem I found was that the hose between the caliper and the pump was a bit short. It is also difficult to find a suitable shell holder. I had to drill new holes.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Has issues

Great product, price and works very well

Great product and price! If you use it on a homebuilt kart it works great. My 10 year old can easily skid on the road and that will stop my 200+ pound go kart too. Very happy.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • old

You get what you pay for

The screws provided don't even go through the disc holes, they need to be drilled out. The line is very short. I had to drill the recommended holes in the hub because none of the holes lined up with the disc. You need to make fasteners for installation. hope it works when i'm done.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Expensive

Kart Brake: Disc Mount Kits

Bought for 1/4 the price of a kart kit. I had to make a bracket and lever. But that block locks up the tires so quickly it stalls my engine before the clutch can disengage if you're not careful. I have now bought 3 for all my cards. Best value for money if you don't mind making your own brackets

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Could be better for spare parts

The system itself is fine. The caliper works and is still under pressure. No leaks. BUT the mounting part is the worst. The mount is designed in such a way that you have to be very imaginative to put it anywhere. And now there is a manual. I had to find a welder to make it work. And after the first start, my disc warped. Dissatisfied.

Pros
  • Everything great! I'll write

Always check that the parts in the kit fit together.

This system has been a great deal and now I am thankful for it. I've learned my $60 lesson: always verify that the components work well together before the return period expires. I was building a kart from scratch and after putting everything together I found that the caliper didn't close tight enough to actually stop the cart. It was both a disappointment and a relief. It's frustrating that I now have to order and wait for another braking system before I can test drive my newly built kart, but

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Simply no performance

Downgraded to one star because either this device is defective or simply doesn't have much gripping power. It moves the calipers and pads, but it doesn't push on the rotor enough to slow the wheel. Thinking it was either air in the system or a weak/faulty master cylinder, I bought another master cylinder with an external reservoir that I could easily check and fill. This allowed me to force the brake fluid through the entire system to remove air bubbles. Still no grip power. Should be in the…
