Waste of money Good for TIG welding equipment

This set does not fit a standard TIG welding hand grip. The design of the tips reduces gas flow, no matter what you do you will not be able to get good welds. Eventually I gave up and went back to Cups and Lincoln Cups. It's garbage!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Bad design

Enter cheap best in Welding Equipment and Accessories

I bought it for a friend who just started TIG welding. I had problems with transparent cups. They didn't actually want to switch to a diffuser body. I finally figured it out but if I had to buy it again I would probably use CK products and just spend the extra money.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I don't remember

Didn't work for me

Short gas lenses and collet holder gave poor coverage. The lenses were worse, but none of them produced a decent weld. I've tried different argon flow rates and nothing has helped. Went back to my old gas lenses and the weld integrity is back. Lesson learned. Going forward, I will not try to "save" money on TIG consumables as the frustration outweighs any potential savings.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some issues

Conflicts with this

Wanted to give a better rating. I have used this on an Everlast 205si and the collets are not holding my tungsten securely. really twist so they grab. I've tried another brand and they seem to work without the extra power. Other than that everything else looks fine but if you can't keep the tungsten in the torch then it really isn't. Well.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fur. Cool for newbies. Fits 17 Air Cooled Flashlights.

Covers any short lenses and cups you might want to try. Pyrex mugs are great, but don't hold up against fire very well. Pyrex cups don't hold up well enough to walk on. Aluminum cups are not bad. The quality of the collet and gas lens is low. Your local welding shop has better quality consumables than this kit. As your local supplier of welding consumables, I can tell you this is a good kit for beginners, but real welders will be tossing it around the shop screaming. A collection of high…

Pros
  • Pretty Packaging
Cons
  • Incredible Piggy Bank

Excellent kit. on welders and accessories

The first photo may not look good without context. These are actually wild holes on my dipstick that needed caulking after moving the support bracket. The Pyrex dish provided excellent visibility. And it helped to avoid burning and destroying the probe tube. The second photo shows a fusion welded stainless steel boost tube (used and slightly soiled). This system pays for itself in argon savings and dipstick changes/landfill visits after the first few uses. What to look out for: Be sure to order

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • There are problems

Too bad - supplied collets do not work

Everything looked great, all parts were included as described and arrived intact. BOTH 3/32 collets are overbored and cannot be tightened to hold tungsten with a standard collet body or gas lenses. And not just a tad too big, like someone literally used the wrong size drill bit. You can see the difference by looking at it next to a working collet. My e3 brand tungsten bulbs from my LWS work great in my Lincoln flashlight parts as well as all the gear they had during the 4 month community…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Cleanliness
