I ordered this to fuse some of my broken plastics and it did not disappoint. So this product works as it should, the metal wire heats up in the plastic but I can see if you are working with something thin then you can. In order to nail this and then lift it, you have to wait for the plastic to cool down a bit and then pull out the gun. The clips have some resistance when inserted into the gun and I suspect this is to keep them from falling out, but it also poses a problem if you're trying to operate this one-handed.
