Doesn't get stuck in bikes and accessories

I've used it on several bikes and I swear every time. Before applying I wipe the windows thoroughly with alcohol and dry them off, but even on brand new windows this tape doesn't stick well. I wasted maybe a third of the two rolls trying to get it to stick. I tried heating it with a heat gun to help. I will never use again. I've had much better results when using Gorilla Tape.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgrades

Worked very well on a set of cheap Croft wheels

I decided to try this tape on my Croft Team SL wheels. I wasn't sure if they would seal at all, so I didn't spend much time other than cleaning the rim. I looped around the rim and threw on a couple of gravel kings. I used my tried and true Orange Seal Endurance and they sealed on the first try. Over the next few days, I spun the wheels, adding an ounce here and there. After a week of sitting, they still have a lot of air in them.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Minor issues

Does what it should.

Works as advertised. I don't know if it's the material of the tape itself as it's the first tubeless rim tape I've used, but it's difficult to apply without leaving a lot of blisters under the tape. I've run the blunt end of the plastic splint and my fingernail over the band, trying to smooth it out and push the bubbles into the spoke holes, but there's still a lot of air bubbles. My tires are inflated and holding air and any leaks around the bead are sealed after I spin the wheels for a minute

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Should have used it first!

I have used Gorilla Tape successfully in the past although it leaves stains on the edge that are difficult to remove 100%. I tried it the first time with my gravel wheels but I didn't get the width I wanted which completely changes the way the wheel holds pressure. Rather than rework the Gorilla Tape, I decided to try a custom tubeless rim tape. WTB suggests buying a tape 5mm wider than the internal width of the rim, which I did. The band is of good quality and slides easily over the center…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Only available in black

Delaminations during installation

I read the article on rim tape sizing. The article says to take the inside width of the rim and add 3-5mm to accommodate the inside channel. The tape should cover the shoulder of the rim to the hook of the rim (where the tire bead touches the rim). My Kappius discs have an inner width of 26.4 mm (manufacturer information). I ordered 28mm tape and it barely fit. Any wider band would be too wide. The bandwidth of my calipers was 28.27 mm (see photo). At first this tape seemed very similar to…
