Excellent Balance. Ideally in hand. Typical Wüsthof quality. The edge is very sharp out of the box and is easy to sharpen if dull. Excellent knife.

I've been using this knife for about a month now and I love it. Easy handling and excellent balance. I am very happy with it.

I love Wüsthof knives and am giving away this one. After some research I switched to the IKON, which has beautiful grenadilla wood handles. Grenadile or African ebony with a more ergonomic grip.

Beautiful, balanced and very sharp Japanese knife. Ideal for thin slices, it cuts vegetables with precision. The circular pattern on the blade prevents the knife from sticking when cutting, allowing you to cut and slice more efficiently. I will come back for new Japanese Wusthof knives.

My son and daughter in law bought me this knife a few years ago and they loved using it around my house so much that I bought them one for Christmas this year. Fits well in the hand and both my small and large son have a good weight. Remains sharp for a reasonable amount of time and quickly escalates when necessary. My favorite knife.

Excellent knives. It's light, well balanced and very sharp. I'm sure there are better knives out there, and there are definitely more expensive ones, but for the home cook who enjoys cooking at home, this is a great tool. If you're used to the knives you buy from places like Wal-Mart, you'll be amazed at how they cut things. Be careful with your fingers. As an uncoordinated fool, I cut myself with this knife for the first time!
