Not worth the money

Not worth the money I paid for it. The blade became dull after cutting the paper once for a total of 5 minutes. Went to reuse for the second time and it no longer ripped and cut with sharp precision. I had to press a little harder to get some sort of cut, I gave up and used regular scissors to complete the project. The blade then came out after I tried to use it for the 3rd time. drop it Just buy cheap blades, they can get better results than this mess.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Only available in black

Caution - very sharp!

This little tool is easy to use for both my small hands and my husband's big hands. We use it for DIY projects. Lately we've been putting contact paper on furniture. I was able to cut precise lines, especially around the edges. We started betting with a double knife. Thank God it was delivered very quickly - you can tell exactly where we didn't use the x-acto blade! I like the cap over the blade as the blade is sharp. I've seen reports of people actually using this to abuse animals. I'm sick…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Clarity

When they said this knife was sharp, they really meant it! I accidentally bought this item as an add-on because it was pretty cheap, but didn't think I'd be using it for many projects. I've used this knife in many DIY projects, even as a box opener to open packages and letters. I've definitely used it a lot, but the blade hasn't dulled anywhere. The only downside is that using this knife to cut material for long periods of time will cause shoulder pain due to the repetitive force you have to…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • So far so good

Great knife but flimsy caps - easy to fix.

Knives get 5 stars. Hats get nothing. I ordered 3 and they all came with trash. Twist the knives down and the caps will fall off. It was on all 3. Hey X-ACTO, do you listen to customer complaints about your baseball caps? Return the old caps that are left over. Easy to fix. The part on the side of the lid is slotted, with an indentation on the inside to grip the lid with serrated blade. It is molded to straight to the cap body without putting any pressure on the knurled cap. At the base of that

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Non automatic

does the job. Great for doomsdayers.

Very hot and did a good job. However, be careful when you take it out of the box. The blade's protective plastic fell off when I opened it and I impaled my thumb. It bled quite a bit. on my sink, my shirt, my countertops. Looks like there was a little massacre in my bathroom. My husband walked in thinking I had finally given in to my threats of our demon cat attacking the walls at random, growling and hissing. Until Fluffy McLucifer walked in and started licking up the blood that had dripped…

  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Vulgarity

DANGEROUS piece of junk. Blade falls off when using & Loose Cap.

Blade kept falling off even on first use. I just cut a circle out of cake cardboard. At first I thought that maybe it wasn't assembled properly and that's why the blade wasn't attached properly. After every possible adjustment, the blade kept falling out of the notch during cutting. The blade stays attached for less than 10 seconds during use. I had to hold the blade in hand to finish cutting the thin cardboard. NOT SURE. "Security" cap is a joke. If you close it with the blade parallel to the…

Sharp X-Acto Craft Knife

I've been using X-Acto knives since sixth grade when I first discovered them. They have been very useful in life and I wear them at home, to school and to work. I already had two X-Acto knives at home but I'm drawn to shiny new items and when I saw this knife with a gold handle and sharper blade I had to have this one. It looks like a regular #1 knife, but with a gold-colored grip area that indicates it's a sharper version with a 'zirconium nitride coated blade'. The blade slices through things

  • Protective cap for storing and carrying. Zirconium Nitride coating for durability
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

All-metal construction feels good

X-Acto says the Z-Series is sharper and more durable than other models - I can see it! They say these are the sharpest blades in the world. Industrial - I don't know if I can test it, but they sure are sharp. - These blades seem to last a little longer before needing sharpening or replacing. - The style of this knife is pretty standard but feels comfortable. in your hand The golden tip feels comfortable. It is all metal, feels nice and has a lot of weight. No additional blades are included in…

Pros
  • Zirconium nitride coated sharp and durable blade

Worked great for silhouette carving

I bought this X-Acto knife on the recommendation of some bloggers who do silhouettes and silhouettes because I made two silhouettes for Christmas - one for my son and one for my niece - for my mother. I'm by no means an expert on tedious cutting, but I do know that having the right tool makes the initial effort and learning the technique a lot easier. Based on their recommendations I bought this knife at a very reasonable price and when I received it I was pleased to see how sharp it was. It's…
