X Chef Defrosting Cutting Chopping 15 9X9 5Inch Review

I bought it on a whim - we never forget to take meat to dinner. I can't believe this actually works. My husband (chef) was so impressed. Only complaint, it's rather small. Husband said to buy more! Bonus - it's also a cutting board!

Don't be fooled. It will not thaw your food faster. I did it once and thought maybe it actually works. I then did a parallel test with 1 pound of frozen chicken breasts on the counter and on this board. The thawing rate was the same. As far as I can tell, it's snake oil. save your money

TEST RESULTS! I did a comparison of defrosting a 1 pound bag of ground beef using this defrosting dish and dunking it in warm water. The amount of meat is the same. Soaking in warm water only took 18 minutes to fully thaw. The thawing tray took an hour and 20 minutes, turning the meat about halfway. As a way to quickly defrost meat for dinner, it's a flop.
