Not everything worked so well

I wanted to use my Xbox 360 as an extender for the Microsoft Media Player that was installed on a computer on my home network. I could run an ethernet cable to another room or try to do it wirelessly. I tried this piece and it connected to my wifi and I was able to launch the media player but it was slow, buffered and kept freezing. I ended up plugging in a WIFI extender https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DHCC8BN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and then connecting Ethernet to

It works. Keep in mind that Microsoft oversells all of its hardware.

My rating is based on the intended use of this product. If you need a Wireless-N connection for your 360, then this is the device for you. As long as your Xbox is up to date, the device is ready to use. I immediately noticed a difference in my content streaming. My rating is not based on what bothers me about Microsoft's practices. I was very concerned when I decided to move my Xbox because I said Wi-Fi would affect my game and download speeds. nope It's almost identical to the point where I don't even notice if there's a difference. Online gaming is also almost flawless. I had no problems with this item and for $50 or whatever it's worth now. The setup is very simple. If you can't set it up, then you're failing as a person. You literally just have to choose it. I will say that the initial connection to Xbox Live is aโ€ฆ

No more cables!: Xbox 360

My home network is connected to an a/b/g/n router but my 360 refused to connect to it. I'm so tired of our 50ft cable running through the apartment. I'm not exactly graceful and I keep tripping over it! I'm addicted to Revain Prime Video and my husband loves to play online, so we were a little concerned that the adapter would slow down the network and cause lag (or slow videos/drops). To tell the truth, I didn't notice any difference in quality at all (although we only have a 12Mbit connection,

Works great but may not solve your problem.

I had an old XBox 360 Arcade that got caught in a thunderstorm and lost its HDMI and network connections. I was reluctant to buy a new XBox and save money so I ordered one of these adapters to try and get my XBox Live back. I plugged it into a USB port and it recognized it immediately and then walked me through the process of connecting. It worked fine for about 30 seconds until realizing something was plugged into the network port (which I didn't have). It then switched back to Wi-Fi, thenโ€ฆ
