The tape was too wide for my application, but once cool, I was able to easily cut it in half with titanium-coated scissors and place it in the channels on the frame. I would prefer this product to be 1/4" to 1/2" wide. Used on my closed moving trailer to reseal where the front metal panel connects to the galvanized metal stone shield on the bottom front of the trailer. I purchased this butyl tape to try and mend a seam in a fillet weld on my perineum that has gaps of 1/16" to 3/8" but is submerged. My plan was to apply this butyl tape underwater (during the actual tape installation) and was hoping that pushing the flexible tape into the "gaps" on the surface would help hold it in place.
