Minor gadget theft

I recently received my new 5001 after the screen on my last one broke in a briefcase. The new device updated by REXpro comes with a transparent mini plastic case for protection so that this doesn't happen again. I believe the device itself is still the best compromise in terms of features, size and price of any PDA, it does it all and syncs with Outlook as well as many other PIM applications - a perfect and absolute bargain. The input mechanism is slow but I don't think it's used as it doesn't…

Unique and unmatched comfort

I remember buying a Psion Pocket PC and then an Ipaq Pocket PC to use as an organizer. But in terms of simplicity and convenience, Rex is absolutely unbeatable. I mainly use it as a small book phone which I really need. Instead of rummaging in my bag looking for a pocket computer, I just pull out the Rex and in 1 minute I have the right phone number. I put the Rex in my front pocket, which is probably not the best solution. However, my pants are not so tight that this is a big problem. I've had

Incompatible or defective?

I have NEVER been able to sync this thing to a PC. I use a Dell Optiplex GX1 with Windows NT 4.0 and Lotus Notes for email and PIM. (Not my choice, it's enterprise software.) Finding and downloading a "driver" or "module" for Notes required a detective's investigation on their website, and their TrueSync software couldn't even sync with their own TrueSync PIM will. When Rex finished syncing, I always got an error message on Windows, whether I tried to sync with Notes or the 'native' PIM…

Cute little brain supplement

This little thing is a lifesaver for my skin. I store my entire appointment calendar in MS Outlook and sync everything with Rex. Because it's so small, I carry it to work and home all the time. So I can wake up in the morning and check if I have to run to a meeting. My work website phone book is also synced with my contact list. It also syncs my regular Outlook contacts with it. I can easily switch between my small Outlook contact list and my corporate contact list. I also sync a few text files
