I bought this set to strain hommade yogurt. The mesh is fine enough that absolutely no perceptable solids pass through it. It should be excellent for any kind of fine kitchen straining you may do. As a yogurt filter, these work excellent. The downside is that they are somewhat difficult to clean becuse a small amount of the yogurt curd gets trapped in the sewn together seam edges. I'm using the smallest bag to make cold brew coffee, and it's good for that - easy to clean out the grounds once it's brewed, especially. I noticed that coffee does seep through into the water, though, which I was hoping would not be the case. I use these bags at least once a week and they hold up really nicely! The largest bag I will use occasionally to strain my vegetable broth, it is now a stained from doing that but I don't mind. I make homemade cauliflower pizza crust and it’s a pain to get as much water out as possible. But these worked wonderfully for wringing out water from cooked cauliflower! They’re easy to use, nothing but water comes out of them and they clean quite easily!

I have only used the smallest bag. I put 1 part coarsely ground beans into the bag, cinch it closed, put it into a large mason jar (mine is 480z) and add 4 parts water. I leave it on the counter for about 16 hours and then pull the bag out (over the garbage can). I turn the bag inside out and brush all of the grounds off of the bag. I was juicing without them. Silly man! Removes excess pulp. Bags are sturdy, strong, even dishwasher safe. Now I make all my own fruit juice.

I don’t actually use these for almond milk I bought them to strain aloe Vera and they are honestly the best thing for that! I use aloe in my hair and there are never any white flakes left behind :)

They do not tear when twisted and squeezed and clean easily, plus dry quickly. The bags work well, just be careful when you are squeezing out your nut milk. The top does not close tightly and you can accidentally squeeze pulp out if you are not paying attention. I honestly think I could have done fine with only the smallest size bag, even for cold brew coffee. I use the largest bag for buying produce at the store to avoid using plastic produce bags.
