I wanted it to store my console. it was too weak for that. I can't imagine any scuba gear being strong enough. Maybe a whistle. hehe hehe.

I'm really not sure what you're going to use this for. The spring is so weak that even my lobster sensor wouldn't hold if the line didn't go down. The pressure gauge is made of aluminum and is very light. I was about to return the product but my dog chewed through the packaging.

I initially gave this product five stars because it was perfect for what I needed it for. To have an analog compass on the retractor that I could carry in my jacket pocket. Unfortunately, after two freshwater dives, he stopped retiring. The compass cannot be retracted and the whole rope dangles freely. When diving, you don't have to deal with tangled lines. Very disappointed with this product. It goes in the trash.
