XSPC Inline Filter Black Chrome Review

Runs at normal overclocking temperature (<= 70°C), Mayhem Opaque Nano Fluid. Great little addon to my loop. I needed a little 'hard bit' to connect my flow meter and it worked great. Then I updated it, it easily holds the silver lining for an antimicrobial effect.

I have used different filters without glass. They all cracked/discolored over time, were difficult to see, and didn't perform well on full filtration. That's the whole point of getting it right? This one is made of glass. It won't snap if overtightened, has knurled ends for easy access, and won't stain. I also use poly fiber filler for my backing which works great in this design. I think these filters have been around for about a year now. You are amazing at your job. I now go with 4. 2 before the point and 2 after the pump when using 4 inch couplers. This creates more surface area, meaning the water flow doesn't suffer much when it starts to clog. Good material, looks fresh. When the pump was turned on, it leaked from both ends. I was only satisfied at the vanity, do not install in your suitcase!

My water pump was humming terribly (I suspect the metal particles from my cheap parts that attach to the magnetic impeller in my water pump are out of whack) and this filter stops it completely! My water pump no longer hums or vibrates. Completely saved the day. I'll update if anything happens over time, but so far so good.

I have to write a mixed review on this. Its stated purpose is a filter. It filters things out of the line well, but when filters are in place, draining the circuit becomes a problem. The liquid comes out from under the filter but gravity isn't strong enough to push it through the filter and unfortunately I placed it at the bottom of my loop.
