Replacing this transmission filter eliminated the "whistle" when reversing. I definitely saved a lot of money doing it myself. For those doing the job themselves, make sure you have a large capacity oil pan and cardboard to protect the garage floor from spills.

Everything was fine except the included pad (rubber). I remember a review saying they had padding issues as well. I pulled it 2 times because of a leak. For the third and last time I made a paper liner and sealed it with silicone. I think the rubber is too thick and when you try to add more torque it just pushes out and leaks. Not sure if OEM is paper but it should be; I spent $30-40 on liquid.

I bought it for a rubber seal, I couldn't find a suitable seal even in the car zone. I hate silicone on the transmission pan, I don't need that junk floating in the transmission valve body or clogging the filter. This is the first time for me that the spacer is not working properly. I installed a gasket on a 2015 Town and Country that had a slow leak from the existing transmission oil pan. After removing the pan from the car, I cleaned it at the parts washer. The mating surface on the gearbox was also cleaned and wiped with a parts cleaner.
