Works as it should

It's hard to find a DVD/Blu-Ray burner these days. This is the perfect solution. If you need an external burner, this works and works well. Not too loud and easy to install.

Good product but it doesn't work for what I wanted.

Works great on my desktop and plays Blu-Ray with the right program for it (I use Cyberlink PowerDVD, no program included) However, I didn't work with the laptop I bought for. I'm not sure if it's too small to power an external drive or what the problem is, but every time I try to play a movie plugged into my laptop, the computer no longer recognizes it .

Pretty poor quality

I noticed that the drive stays lit like it just turned on, no USB reconnection notification, just flashing intermittently. So I tried opening it, it's dead. It's been about a week and I haven't even used it for anything other than reading the driver CD it came with. So I decided the connection inside might be bad and opened the case. Very upset! Why don't they send a floppy disk with a driver to install?

For me this is a disappointment, I connected it to my computer and it does not work, it gives these errors. I have an Imac High Sierra. Blu-ray error. This Blu-ray disc requires AACS decoding library and your system does not have it. VLC cannot open MRL "bluray:///Volumes/FTD1EUE1". See the magazine for details.

The first working external Blu-Ray from THREE!

Incredible. Does what I paid for. I have previously purchased and returned 2 external Blu-ray players. I have a dedicated 5 volt DC power supply for this drive. I got it from a powered USB hub. Same plug. If you don't have a separate power supply, try plugging USB power into a self-powered hub - you'll get your 5 volts ------- And this thing will SING! :) I connect my HP Surface directly to USB-C and power it with my 5V PS. I use PowerDVD. This is my new Blu-ray player.

Great device - external devices

This external Blu-ray player worked great right out of the box. I've ripped about 7 of my Blu-rays so far and the experience has been great. I use it with my laptop when I'm sitting on the couch and while it's working it's so quiet I sometimes forget it's there.
