Works great, installation instructions are terrible

It works great if you can set up a Zigbee channel. I bought Alexa Plus for my Zigbee hub. The instructions were so minimal I couldn't connect the lock to the hub. I spent over an hour with Yale support and they thought I had a bad radio. They sent me a new one that worked the same way. I finally googled how to get them working and found instructions that actually worked. If it was set up the way it should or if instructions were provided I would give 5 stars. Now it works GREAT.

    Pros
    • Don't worry about marking your door, the lock has a rubber seal to protect your door panel.
    Cons
    • Big and chunky

    Absolutely normal. for accessory

I like it except that it's supposed to be compatible with Alexa but not the Echo Dot I have. The battery was starting to run low which should have turned on the red light but it didn't come on. Instead, the auto-lock just stopped working, and that's how we found out. Overall a good product but disappointed that it doesn't work with an echo dot unless you spend $60 on a hub. UPDATE: I've had this lock for 2 months and have changed the batteries twice. The lock also doesn't connect to my network,

Complex programming, but easy installation. Looks good

This is my first experience with a keyless smart lock. The installation itself was pretty easy following the instructions. However, connecting the Zigbee to some sort of smart hub wasn't easy. I connected via the xfinity home app. I restarted a few times, removed the batteries, removed the module, plugged it back in and dealt with the annoying beeps. Finally deserved. Then I found out that the connection was really just for locking and unlocking, or to see if you accidentally left it unlocked…

    Pros
    • Never hide your key again, create unique login codes for people you trust. Delete codes at any time.
    Cons
    • Not as thick as other picks
