📱 YEE PIN DriveSmart 55 Navigation Screen Protector Review

I've put screen protectors and foils on many devices over the years and I know how to do it. I followed the directions for this protector carefully and there was still a large air pocket in one corner that I couldn't get rid of. And the rest of the screen made it difficult to activate the touchscreen functions. After two days of fighting, I tore off the protective film and threw it away.

I have put this screen protector on both Garmin DriveSmart 61 LMT GPS (purchased 2018) and Garmin DriveSmart 65 GPS (purchased 2019 G). The product is very well packaged with very clear instructions and everything you need for a perfect installation. The installation process was simple and flawless. I have applied many screen protectors and this was one of the easiest. Fit perfectly, no bubbles. I recommend using stickers/dust removers to line up the screen protector by sticking one on each side rather than using a suction cup. The screen protector is only a touch small compared to the device, but covers the entire screen, leaving quite a bit with the black border open. This Garmin doesn't have a bezel so it's nice to have a screen protector.

I followed the instructions and tried for at least an hour with no success. Only one side and both corners are bubbles, so air enters and creates a bubble on the GPS screen. I try to take it out but to no avail. Maybe I have a bad batch. I take a closer look at the problem and realize that the finish on the corners is not very good. 2 corner is not flat. BCS I think when they make a cut it creates a folded corner. No smooth finish. So when I flatten it, it doesn't flatten, so air gets in there.

I have installed many screen protectors but this one was disappointing. After normal screen cleaning and preparation, this protective film did not stick to 1/4 of the screen. And yes, I made sure the alcohol was dry and the screen was dry and dust-free before installing it. It just seemed like the adhesive on part of the protective film was weak. Maybe I was just unlucky and picked a bad one out of the bunch. But for me they should be simple enough where nothing is wrong. I will not buy it…

Easy to install IF IF go to youtube and watch some videos. Useful tips for those who have never done it. 1: AND THE MOST IMPORTANT. MAKE SURE the SCREEN is very clean. An invisible dust particle leaves a very irritating air bubble that cannot be removed. I wiped the screen with a dust-free cloth. then sprayed the Windex screen.
