Magnetic Chess Piece Only. The figures in the checker are so small and non-magnetic. They also don't stack and they don't have crown images that make them the "king" in checkers. Also, the stones I received were more than one color and not enough of the other to be properly placed on the board. However, if you only use/want it for chess, that's great. The chess piece sticks to the board and you can turn the board upside down without the piece falling off and they move easily on the board!

Board arrived in good condition, all parts are missing. It's the perfect size for my needs, not too big (and not too small like most portable magnetic boards). The magnets are strong enough to hold the figures in place even when they're upside down (or when cats get curious). While I doubt I'll use checkers, they're not as bad as some reviews make them out to be and I don't care. they are not magnetized. This is a very functional and durable chess set at a great price.
