Very nice sharpening stone!

I bought this whetstone a few months ago and am just learning how to sharpen my knives into the best possible shape and this stone is more than happy to help you with that! While it's a little cool for the average person or user, it could be a lot better with other brands to start with. For an amateur, these stones really couldn't be better! I almost lost my finger, it was so sharp. I have a Yoshihiro knife, it's really cool, but I had to sharpen it, and you can only use wet rocks. I had no idea what I was doing, but after watching a YouTube video I got it. This is very easy. I cut with a razor blade and it's amazing. I really thought I knew Sharp to this day. I have 1000 grit which most decent knives need, it works great but I would definitely consider getting 3000 and maybe 8000. Stones basically polish the metal after it's been…

Please read this review fully as I'm adding it to my original review. It ripped the blade out of my classic henkotsu kamisori (traditional Japanese straight razor) and it will definitely take some work to get it back. on my Japanese natural stones (the stone was actually almost perfectly flat) but as soon as I started using it I felt like a razor blade hitting large particles buried in the matrix.
