Enhanced Front Master Overhaul Kit for Dana 30 Axle by Yukon Gear & Axle (YK D30-F) Review

The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the compression bushing does not crush to spec when tightened to spec. The manufacturer suggests crushing in a press to a size just above specification before installation. It worked last time on my other truck but this time my 12 ton press didn't crush it at all. So I polished it a bit, calibrated it, assembled it. I disassembled it and polished it a little more and so on until it came out perfect.

The kit included a crappy gear nut that snapped off when I tried to apply monstrous torque that required crushing the pinch bushing. The nut fits freely into the 30mm socket and strip. Because of this, I couldn't squeeze the sleeve properly. Very disappointed at how much this kit costs. I don't recommend anyone to buy this. I was in a bind so I ordered it but I'm very sorry. The bearings are fine. Also note that they come with a small amount of gear marking paste.

I don't normally have problems with auto component manufacturers but the attached picture I am sharing shows how I came to my dana30 differential rebuild kit. Poor delivery of precision components. Also came all the way from Cali. Sound like a tambourine before opening. Most likely a refund if the seller doesn't want to replace it with a new one in an open package. This is the America we live in. I wish we had the same shit as Japan and China. Presentation and quality are everything. SMX.

Wrong screws, wrong expander. I would just buy the parts individually if I were you as your chances of getting everything you need in this kit are pretty slim. Minute. I'm just glad I realized it in time, if that happened on the freeway my entire differential would fry, except now I have to buy another gasket, washer and more oil. This is the worst review I have ever left. on everything and omg i wish it could be worse 10/10 bad experience

First of all I am VERY disappointed with this kit. It's very expensive and promises to have everything you need to rebuild your ring and gear, they lied. I'm missing a stop screw for the sprocket, I had to reuse one of the old "single use" screws that I'm not happy with. general. Then both housing bearings are too small and I had to buy replacements for both. And now, on top of all that crap, the 2000's rear bearing is too small. Stay away from this manufacturer. I will NEVER buy from them…
