Very useless for spiral threaded screw inserts

Attempted to repair a broken screw hole per instructions, installed as instructed, put in correct size screw and the spiral helix broke almost immediately. Tried again, same result. Just a waste of $30.

  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • not reliable

Personalized incompetence.

I've ordered this 3 times from Revain and each time they filled the order with a different set. I called and explained exactly what the problem was and it made no difference. No product problem. PERFORMANCE PROBLEM.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • I won't say anything

The manufacturer doesn't care about customer service.

I ordered a set of 6-32 threaded inserts. The kit included a drill and tap for 6-32, unfortunately the thread inserts were for 8-32. So the kit was useless. I contacted the manufacturer to let them know about the quality control issue but they never responded to my email.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Quality

I did a little research, bought this and some coolant and got to work. Using a drill press the whole process took about 10 minutes including a thorough triple check of alignment etc. The hole was drilled quickly, the threads were easily tapped and the helix was screwed in immediately. As long as you're careful, you can do this with a hand drill, and it's very
