Really nice high quality

I have tried many pepper mills over the years and finally found that cheap is what it is. So I bought this German windmill. A great thing! The lid doesn't come off when you turn the pinwheel and the settings are perfect - all fine, of course. Don't waste your money on Chinese junk. I'm done recycling Chinese products.

German products are excellent!

Finally got this beauty after failed first delivery 2 weeks ago Finally it was neatly packed This time a small booklet was attached at the top. So happy to see that. I didn't know that the peppercorns in it came from Vietnam. Regardless, I tested this grinder and it works perfectly. Now I have to save up for a sea salt mill. Glad it was made in Germany.

Excellent Quality Pepper Mill

I replaced an old metal mill that had just worn out. It has a ceramic sharpening mechanism and a beautiful wooden body. The coffee grinder can be set to the desired degree of grinding - my old one didn't have that. I'm a pepper snob. I've always had a good coffee grinder and look forward to using it for many, many years to come. If you think there is no difference, try Tellicherry peppercorns in a quality coffee grinder. You'll be amazed.

Easy to change grind size.

Very grippy, easy change of grinding degree. It's easy to tell the difference between level one and level six by looking at the ground pepper. I used the peppercorns it contained (not much, but more than enough to check the grind settings). Now it's just a matter of finding a suitable salt shaker. No salt mill I can find, I want a salt shaker. The delivery was very fast and there were no problems with the order so no need to contact the seller. Good product I recommend.

Great pepper grinder

I bought this grinder because the other Zassenhaus coffee grinders I own were of the highest quality from the coffee grinder to the salt grinder. Two things set this grinder apart in terms of performance. On the one hand, these are ceramic milling cutters, which grind very evenly and stay sharp longer than metal milling cutters. Second, it's a 6-position dial. In contrast to Peugeot mills, where the scale is adjusted by tightening the upper screw, the upper screw in Zassenhaus mills is…

German, solidly built.

This grinder's ceramic core stays where you installed it. The beech wood surface is smooth and still offers enough grip to produce large quantities of pepper in a short time. A right-to-left twist, or a continuous twist both ways, seems to produce about the same results: plenty of evenly ground pepper. I live near the Pacific Ocean and have been using this grinder in my kitchen daily for over a month and so far there has been no corrosion to visible hardware and no visible wear to the wood…

  • Obsolete

I am satisfied with this pepper grinder. The grind selection mechanism on the bottom is convenient and doesn't need to be reset every time you pour your coffee. Refueling is not easy. The top opening is very small. I wish I had a lighter wood version, but that's just a matter of visual taste. Update: downgraded to 3 stars. I liked it for a while. But the grinder was suddenly completely out of order. Maybe it was the hardness of the pepper. I do not know. There was no solution, so he went to the

Good if you prefer smaller peppercorns

I bought this grinder because I needed a ceramic grinder that would last longer than steel grinders. The grinder is well built and I like that the grinder switch is independent of the top screw. The main problem with mine is that the coffee grinder doesn't "bite off" peppercorns most of the time, so you twist the top part and nothing happens even though it's full of peppercorns. It will then mysteriously start working again. **Update: I'm raising my rating because I realized the problem was…

Overall quality is not impressive but grinds very well

Let me start by saying that for the price this grinder should come in a box or some form of packaging that offers better protection than a single ply thin blister diaper bag. he arrived. Amazon of course packed it in way oversized bubble wrap so you could expect some dents on the case or lid like mine (smaller). First impressions are that it grinds really well throughout the range. . The coarsest is damn rough and the finest is almost powdered (it depends on the calluses to some extent) and is…
