I prefer rim tape to the more modern plastic material you often see on rims. With the tape I know it will stay where I put it and it suits the shape of the rim well. It's heavier than the plastic version, but not by much, and compared to the weight of the rim, tire, tube, it doesn't matter anyway. I usually use Zefal tape on my rims.

Good product, please note this is for a roll only of the band, not for the sleeve as shown in the picture. I ride about 100km a week. Before installing this product I had a lot of punctures due to the spokes pressing against the tube and causing a puncture. After installing this product, I had no disks. I estimate I've driven 300 miles since installing it and am very happy with the product.
