Faulty Design, Costly Mistake

Based on my observations, the Zerk Grease Fitting in this category is a frustrating purchase. The fitting has a faulty design which failed to lock onto the grease gun. Although the price is affordable, the frustrating experience and additional costs for a replacement is not worth it.

Pros
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Faulty design, additional costs

Large gap between piston and chamber

The piston rod is much smaller than the chamber. If you hit the piston rod with a hammer, the grease will not get into the bearing, but will flow back around the piston rod and come out in the wrong direction. I can't believe anyone thought it could work with that much clearance between the piston rod and the chamber. I am requesting a refund.

Pros
  • Grease guns
Cons
  • Some small things

Check the size needed to transfer fuel and lube

Well I thought it would be an easy fix for a clogged fitting on my rotary mower. Unfortunately I must have missed in the description where it mentions the size of the oiler it fits into. Too small for my standard sizes for almost every item I own that needs lubrication. Thought maybe it contained ends of different sizes, but no luck. Bought another paperweight. Be sure to check the size of your mirrors before ordering.

Pros
  • Tools and Equipment
Cons
  • Hard to tell
